These socks are made from a stretchy, breathable fabric, (best for warm or cool weather).
They do come up fairly high, (I think 6" from heel), which does seem to add some ankle, lower calf support. The colors are fairly subdued, like the photo, but nice design, imo. Well made like the Primal bibs & jerseys I own.
